GOOD TO KNOW

X-WARRIOR – URGENT UPDATE AROSA

WARRIORS, Mother Nature does not mean well with us on this X-WARRIOR weekend. The weather forecasts, especially for Saturday, are associated with a significant drop in temperature and an almost 100% chance of heavy rain and first snowfall in the mountains. On Sunday, on the other hand, during the day clearing up with some sunshine, and relatively dry with temperatures up to 10/12 degrees felt.

For safety reasons especially in this mountainous location and for the health of all athletes, volunteers and course marshals, we have to move the X-LITE from Saturday, September 17, 2022 to Sunday, September 18. So please note that there will be no race on Saturday, September 17!
However, we would be happy to welcome all X-LITE athletes at the start line on Sunday, September 18 at 11:00 as your schedules allow.

For the X-FULL on Sunday, September 18, we see no problem as the weather forecast is much better than on Saturday – almost no rain and with temperatures in the acceptable range. So we are looking forward to seeing ALL X-FULL athletes on Sunday, September 18, 22 in Arosa … plus whoever of the X-LITE athletes finds the time to move their original Saturday date to Sunday, start: 11:00.

All X-LITE athletes who can’t make it on Sunday will be automatically logged in for the 2023 Arosa Race date after the event.

New STARTLIST + RACE SCHEDULE, Sunday, 18 SEPTEMBER 22

10:15 X-TITAN Non-Competitive
10:30 X-FULL Competitive

The Race Office in the Event Area will be open on Sunday, September 18 from 08-11 am.

WARRIORS, we are tough and see you on 18 September 22 in Arosa for an OCR adventure in nature with the request to you to 1. be prepared clothing wise for temperature differences, 2. be there for each other #strongtogether and 3. it’s not always about being the fastest, best and biggest – at the end of the day it’s about testing yourself how strong you are and for that we quote Joe De Sena, Ceo Spartan Race:

“THE BIGGEST AND HARDEST OBSTACLE IN LIFE IS TO OVERCOME YOURSELF”.

In this sense we are looking forward to a common OCR experience in nature – even if the weather conditions on this possibly unforgettable 18th of September in Arosa are not the sunniest, we will do our best to make sure that EVERYTHING runs smoothly, SAFETY first, BE PART!

Thank you very much,
Team X-WARRIOR #AROSA.
