X-WARRIOR – RACE-UP-DATE #AROSA

Only a few days left until it rocks in AROSA and for this, NOW and today enclosed an UPDATE with the most important information about the X-WARRIOR Weekend, on 17th and 18th of September 2022 in the Swiss mountains.

The event area with start/finish as well as race office and recovery area are located at the Lido Untersee in Arosa, also well-known as BADI; address: Strandbad Arosa, Unterseestrasse 28, CH-7050 Arosa, LINK . For programme, courses, and obstacles, please refer to the RACE-MAPS: OCR-X-LITE vs > OCR-X-FULL – if you still need accommodation, here please > ACCOMMODATION

We will meet in the registration tent at the event area, on race weekend we will be there for you from 8:00 am on both days – please plan to arrive well in advance. There you will receive the starting documents: Startnumber-Headband, Startnumber-Wristband, Timing-Chip, an Arosa Map and a WHYsport Slingbag. There is also a BAG-DROP-OFF-ZONE, located in the building of the swimming pool and where you can store one or more bags on your own responsibility.

Please bring with you your ID card for the name check and the personally signed WAIVER – please download > WAIVER.

Start times, as follows: X-LITE, Saturday 17 September from 11:00am and X-FULL on Sunday 18 September from 10:00am. The start will be a ROLLLING START, i.e., COMPETITIVES, 2 Warriors starting at the same time, approximately every 30 seconds. NON-COMPETITIVES will follow in groups of up to 4 Warriors, larger groups are allowed if wanted. Here is the link to the current > STARTLIST, depending on race day, race category in alphabetical order. With the given start slots there may be slight delays avoiding queues on the course and in front of the obstacles.

After the race we will be waiting for you in the recovery area. If you want to take a shower, you can either jump into the bathing lake or you can get warmer under the showers of the sports centre / Arosa, address: Poststrasse 27, 7050 Arosa – also to be found in the legend of the race maps.

The result lists will be constantly updated until the last athletes have crossed the finish line. The award ceremony for all COMPETITIVE athletes is scheduled for 2:00 pm, or when the last COMPETITIVE athlete has crossed the finish line. All NON-COMPETITIVES will be listed alphabetically after the race closure. All results lists will be posted on the WARRIOR website, latest the day after.

How to get there: You can travel to Arosa comfortably and directly by train from Chur – if you come by car, we recommend parking at the booked accommodation or using one of the public car parks – see race maps legend vs more info > AROSA

Important tip:
because the unexpected can be just around the corner, we recommend that all athletes who are not affiliated in Switzerland should subscribe a temporary health insurance: it does not cost much, and it can be useful in case of accident. For EU citizens, medical assistance received abroad is usually reimbursed according to the rates in their home country. In addition, Switzerland is not an EU country, and it is usually necessary to pay for medical expenses incurred in advance, which are then reimbursed by the respective health insurance entity in the country of residence. For non-EU nationals, it is also recommended to subscribe a health insurance for foreign countries.

We wish you a good journey and together with the team from AROSA we are looking forward to the X-WARRIOR OCR X-TRAIL Natural Obstacle Race premiere in Switzerland. If you have any questions, please send us an email to info@x-warrior.com
